U ROCK Climbing team is organizing, for the first time, a weekend event of camping and outdoor climbing, in two amazing climbing sites in Kfarsghab (Ehden) and Hadchit (Bcharreh). Bring your tent, food, water, snacks, and sleeping bags, and join us!

Kfarsghab is a village located in the Zgharta District in the North Governorate of Lebanon. It is situated on top of the Valley of Qadisha, which is considered a holy and spiritual at an altitude of 1,380 m above sea level.

Hadchit is an ancient Phoenician settlement located in the Bsharri District in the North Governorate of Lebanon. It is situated on top of the Valley of Qadisha, overlooking the southern branch of the Wadi Qannoubine Valley. The village is located 126 km away of Beirut with an elevation of 1400m above sea level.

The journey’s camping part, food supplies, and transportation are on you, bring your tents, snacks, sleeping bags and join us! If you’re short on camping gear, you may check Ehden Mountains Activities (+961 3 754 928) or The Outdoor Guru (+961 70 877 970) for rentals.

What to wear

• A loose & comfortable top/t-shirt,
• Long pants to protect your knees from scratches & abrasions,
• Keep a wind stopper jacket on you all the times, just in case of a cold breeze,
• Having your climbing shoes is ideal, otherwise, hiking shoes will do the job.

What to bring

• Bring your own food, snacks & beverages; There are no markets nearby.
• Bring your own camping gear: you may contact Ehden Mountains Activities (+961 3 754 928) or The Outdoor Guru (+961 70 877 970) for rentals.
• DON’T FORGET to bring ENOUGH WATER for the entire weekend, per person (Avoid plastic bottles).
• Bring your own health insurance & personal first aid kit in case of an emergency, including a MASK & an ALCOHOL-BASED HAND SANITIZER.

Gathering

For the schedule to run as smoothly as possible, it is important to be on time by 12:00 PM at U ROCK Climbing – Jdeideh. We will leave at 12:30 PM SHARP, heading to the climbing site directly.

Transportation

Currently, we DO NOT PROVIDE transportation. You need to have your own car or share a ride/carpool with any of the attendees.

Fees include equipment, guidance, & site access

• LBP 100,000 / person,
• LBP 85,000 if you show your valid membership,
• LBP 15,000 / pair of shoes rented throughout the weekend (for those who have already mentioned that in the application form)

Payment

This year, in order to facilitate the payment of the event’s fees, you should confirm your attendance by paying the participation fees MAXIMUM 2 days after you register online, using one of the following methods:

1. In-person to one of our team members at U ROCK climbing gym,
2. At any OMT location near you, by providing the OMT agent with the following required documents and information:
   • The money transfer details filled on the form available at OMT locations,
   • Your valid government-issued ID or Passport,
   • The Receiver’s first and last names: JAD BOU CHEBL +961-3-807854
   • The amount you wish to send, e.g. 2x 100,000 LBP
   • Make sure to mention that the receiver will bare the charges.
     
     Once you sign your receipt and receive your OMTN number, provide the receiver, JAD BOU CHEBL via WhatsApp with:
     • The OMTN number (Online Money Transfer Number) 12 digit number,
     • Your full name (and the name of your friends if you paid on behalf of them),
     • The amount you sent.

You can pay for the climbing shoes rental, on the day of the event as soon as you receive your pair: Please have the exact amount on you.

ATTENTION

• Places are limited to 15 people.
• People under 18 years old, should be accompanied by their guardians.
• Sometimes & due to reasons beyond our control, some modifications may occur.
• Bring your own health insurance and personal first aid kit in case of an emergency, including a MASK & an ALCOHOL-BASED HAND SANITIZER.
