U ROCK is organizing an outdoor rock climbing adventure in BEIT MERY on Sunday, May 19th, 2024.

Beit Mery is located 16 kilometers away from Beirut, with an approximate elevation of 750 meters above sea level.

General Information

Levels

• • Easy to intermediate (6b+ maximum); No climbing experience is necessary,
  • All climbers will be supervised by experienced climbing instructors and will be taught how to climb safely
  • All kids should be accompanied by & under the responsibility of their guardians.

What to wear

• • A loose & comfortable top,
  • Long pants to protect your knees from scratches & abrasions,
  • Keep a wind stopper and fleece jacket on you all the time, as it is still cold at this time of the year, especially when you are not active,
  • Having your climbing shoes is ideal, otherwise, hiking shoes will do the job.

What to bring

• • Bring your cold lunch, snacks & beverages; There are no markets nearby.
  • DON’T FORGET to BRING 2~3 Liters of WATER for the entire day, per person (Avoid plastic bottles).
  • Bring your own health insurance & personal first aid kit in case of an emergency.

Gathering

For the schedule to run as smoothly as possible, it is important to be on time by 7:30 AM at U ROCK Climbing Gym, before heading to Wooden Bakery – Metn Express Highway, where you can have your breakfast: We will leave at 8:00 AM SHARP, heading to the climbing site directly.

Transportation

Currently, we DO NOT PROVIDE transportation. You need to have your car or share a ride/carpool with any of the attendees.

Fees include both equipment & guidance

• • USD 35 per person,
  • USD 30 if you show your valid membership,
  • USD 10 per pair of shoes rented (for those who have already mentioned that in the application form)

Payment

In order to facilitate the payment of the event’s fees, you should confirm your attendance by paying the participation fees MAXIMUM 2~3 days after you register online, in-person to one of our team members at U ROCK climbing gym. Please have the exact amount on you.

Equipment & Damage

As the participant, it is your responsibility to take care of any rented or used equipment during the event.

It is important to note that in the event of any damage, an additional charge will be incurred, with the amount to be defined accordingly. It is worth noting that in certain situations, this amount may increase the total cost of the item as per its current market price, particularly in the case of a no-repair condition.

• • Places are limited to 15 climbers.

  • Sometimes & due to reasons beyond our control, some modifications may occur.
